Saint-Veran 2015 Jules Desjourneys
Jules Desjourneys' Saint Veran is a white wine produced in the Beaujolais region of France. This wine is made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Les Moriers vineyard, located in the Saint Veran sub-zone. The vineyard was founded in the 19th century by Jules Desjourneys and the Desjourneys family has continued to manage it ever since, following sustainable and traditional farming methods.
The Saint Veran of Jules Desjourneys presents a fruity and floral bouquet with notes of peach, pear and wild flowers. On the palate, it is surprisingly fresh and light, with a mineral note that makes it perfect to accompany fish dishes or to be enjoyed alone as an aperitif. Its light structure and balanced acidity make it an ideal wine to enjoy on hot summer days.
In terms of production technique, the grapes are harvested by hand and undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then matured in French oak barrels for 2-3 months, giving it a toasty, vanilla note. The production process of this wine respects strict quality and sustainability standards, thus guaranteeing a high quality product that respects the environment.
