Sancerre L'Authentique Chavignol 2020 Thomas Labaille
Thomas-Labaille's Sancerre 'L'Authentique' 2020 is a white wine from the Loire Valley. The multi-parcel Cuvée is made from pure Sauvignon Blanc grapes, all of which come from the Kimmeridgian limestone soils of Chavignol and have an average age of twenty-five years, grown sustainably and harvested by hand.
The wine is fermented with native yeasts in glass and cement vats, aged on the lees in stainless steel tanks for four to six months and is bottled without filtration. Thomas-Labaille's Sancerre "L'Authentique" 2020 expresses all the character, liveliness and crispness of Sancerre wines, with a quality that is clearly above average.
Pale straw yellow in colour with greenish highlights, Thomas Labaille's very young L'Authentique 2020 Sancerre expresses unripe aromas of white fruit and delicate herbs on the nose. In the mouth, it is well balanced between acidity and savouriness.
