Saumur Rouge Les Arboises Monopole Brézé 2019 Domaine Guiberteau
Saumur Rouge Les Arboises Monopole Brézé is a fine French wine from the Loire Valley produced by the Domaine Guiberteau. The grapes come from the 1 ha Monopole vineyard in Les Arboises on the Brézé hill. The vines were planted in 1957, with southern exposure, sandy soils and limos on limestone. The wine is processed according to the principles of organic agriculture, without the assistance of sulphites or other chemical substances.
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected in the vineyard, after 100% destemming takes place, maceration for 10 days to 4 weeks in cement tanks, fermentation of indigenous yeast. Finally, it undergoes an aging of 18 months in cask (80% new, 20% 1 year). Bright ruby red in color, Guiberteau's Saumur Rouge Les Arboises Monopole Brézé expresses multifaceted hints on the nose: the typical pepper, then the spices, with the predominant green pepper.
Then the tangerine peel, a give freshness. And then the cola and finally the coffee, mixed with cocoa. In the mouth it is enveloping, full-bodied and tasty, with a long savory finish.
