The Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Lavières 2022 from Domaine Le Puy de l’Ours captures the essence of Burgundian elegance and complexity. Les Lavières, the largest premier cru in Savigny-lès-Beaune, spans 17.66 hectares and boasts an exceptional terroir. The soil, rich in hard limestone “laves” and fine brown clay, adds remarkable depth and finesse to the wine. The 2022 vintage, made entirely from Pinot Noir, was vinified with 50% whole clusters and lightly pressed, followed by 12 months of aging in French oak barrels (50% new, 50% second-fill).

On the nose, this wine reveals intense and fresh aromas of red fruits like strawberries, raspberries, and cherries, combined with darker fruit notes and a hint of earthy underbrush. Subtle touches of vanilla and spices add complexity to the bouquet. The palate is defined by crisp acidity, fine tannins, and a balanced structure.
