Sisma Etna Rosso DOC 2019 Monterosso
The 'Sisma' Etna Rosso 2019 is a red wine produced using natural methods by the Sicilian winery Monterosso. Their labels are always very special and have the function of conveying notions about the Etna region: in the case of this 'Sisma' we find depicted the epicentre of an imaginary earthquake, complete with the geographical coordinates of the volcano's summit craters, and even the colours are linked to Etna: black represents lava stone, red lava and white snow.
Monterosso's Etna Rosso 'Sisma' is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes from 70-100 year old vines grown in the traditional Etnean Alberello style, on a red Pozzolana soil of volcanic origin at an altitude of 600 m above sea level, which is responsible for the incredible mineral aromatic bouquet of this wine. It is produced according to natural methods where the only materials used are Copper and Sulphur, while ageing is carried out in stainless steel for one year.
The Sisma Etna Rosso 2019 has a wonderful intense ruby red colour, while the nose has an intense and characteristic bouquet of red fruits, flowers, spices and lava stone. The sip is deep, full-bodied and balanced.
