Saint-Joseph "Offerus" 2019 J.L Chave Sélection
The Offerus Saint-Joseph 2019 is part of the range of Northern Rhône wines produced by Jean-Louis Chave Sélection from vineyards that are to a small extent not owned by the company, but whose production phases are meticulously monitored by Chave in order to be able to offer products with excellent value for money.
It is made from 100% Syrah grapes from vineyards in the communes of Mauves, Tournon and St. Jean de Muzols, facing east, which give the wine tannins, spice and great power. Jean-Louis' work on the Mauves vineyards is becoming increasingly refined, and with the acquisition in 2010 of the 4-hectare Clos Florentin vineyard, Chave is becoming more and more selective in the grapes he chooses for the Saint-Joseph, and the percentage of grapes purchased for the 'Offerus' is decreasing (it is currently around 25%).
The Saint-Joseph "Offerus" 2019 J.L Chave Sélection ferments in steel vats and tonneaux and matures in barriques for 18 to 24 months: it is a fine red wine structured and deep with a fruity aromatic profile of blackberry, violet, aniseed and black pepper that ends in an irony finish.
