Trebbiano D'Abruzzo 2021 Emidio Pepe

Trebbiano D'Abruzzo 2021 is a fine wine from Abruzzo produced by Emidio Pepe. This wine is produced with 100% Trebbiano, an autochthonous grape which gives life to wines considered as having scarce olfactory complexity and medium structure, but that Pepe was able to bring to very high quality levels. Processed according to the principles of organic farming integrated to biodynamic farming in full respect of the territory, this wine is pressed with the feet, just like in the past, and subsequently the must ferments spontaneously in vitrified steel tanks, where it is aged for some months. Emidio Pepe's Trebbiano d'Abruzzo has a straw yellow color, slightly hazy. The nose offers a bouquet of white flowers, ripe fruit and salty notes deriving from the vicinity of the Adriatic Sea. Fresh, sapid and rich taste, it has a great predisposition to aging.

Since 1964 the name of Emidio Pepe has been synonymous of high quality Abuzzese wines. The winery, founded by Emidio's grandfather at the end of the nineteenth century, has seen four generations follow one another while keeping constant the high level of its wines produced according to the philosophy of biodynamic agriculture. Interventions in the vineyard limited to the use of natural substances such as copper, sulfur and biological compounds, exclusive use of indigenous yeasts and vinification in cement are the trademark of this great Abruzzi winery and of its fantastic natural wines.
