Musella's Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso 2019 is a red wine of great elegance and depth, characterized by a rich and refined personality. This biodynamic wine, made from grapes grown according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture, offers a complex and satisfying sensory experience.
Spontaneous fermentation takes place with a 12-15 day maceration on the skins in stainless steel tanks, followed by a “ripasso” process on the incompletely pressed skins of the Amarone for another 10-15 days. This method gives the wine additional structure and depth. After racking, the wine ages for 12 months in oak barrels of different sizes (3.5, 5 and 15 hl), which help develop its distinctive character.
On the nose, Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso 2019 reveals intense notes of cherry, red fruits and balsamic herbs, which blend harmoniously. On the palate, the wine shows good body, velvety tannins and an aftertaste characterized by pleasant balsamic menthol notes. Freshness and sapidity make the sip round and heady, with a long and persistent finish.
This wine pairs perfectly with meat dishes, aged cheeses and game. It is also ideal with polenta and osei, enhancing the flavors of rich, traditional cuisine.
