Vin de France L'Estrade Blanc 2022 Maxime Magnon
Vin de France L'Estrade Blanc 2022 is a natural white wine that fully expresses the authenticity of the Hautes Corbières terroir, with a clear Mediterranean influence. This wine is made from a perfect blend of Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc, sourced from 40-year-old vines located in Peyriac de Mer, south of Narbonne, an area that benefits from a more pronounced maritime influence compared to other parcels of the estate. The soils, composed of white marl and grès, impart a distinctive minerality to the wine, while the presence of decomposed limestone further enriches its organoleptic profile.
The winemaking of L'Estrade Blanc follows a respectful and natural philosophy. The grapes, hand-harvested in small baskets, undergo a direct pressing that preserves the freshness and integrity of the aromas. Fermentation takes place in foudres and 500-liter barrels, to enhance maturation and complexity without interfering with the wine's natural expression. The two grape varieties ferment separately due to differences in ripening before the juices are blended approximately two months prior to bottling.
The wine, which undergoes no filtration, will be bottled directly at the Domaine in the spring of 2024, with minimal sulfur usage, in line with Maxime Magnon's biodynamic philosophy.
Organoleptically, L'Estrade Blanc 2022 stands out for its vibrant freshness, with fruity notes of peach and citrus, accompanied by floral hints of white flowers. The Bourboulenc, with its liveliness, provides a nice acidity that perfectly balances the softness and structure of the Grenache Blanc. The result is an elegant wine, highly drinkable, which evokes the aromas and energy of the sun and sea, typical of the Mediterranean region.
This natural white is ideal to enjoy as an aperitif, accompanied by tapas and pinchos, or with grilled fish dishes, which enhance its freshness and finesse. A true homage to the land and winemaking tradition of southern France, it captivates with its simplicity and depth.
