Vermouth di Torino Luigi Vico
"On Sundays, after Holy Mass, I would accompany Grandpa Gepin to the ostu in Serralunga for a Vermouth with friends. There I discovered the secret of his personal recipe based on Moscato with absinthe and many other herbs, among them the milk thistle that grows wild in the vineyard. Now it is up to you to taste it, and up to me to guard the secret of the recipe."
Luigi Vico's Vermouth di Torino is an aromatised wine made from Moscato, neutral alcohol, sugar, herbs, spices, citrus peel and medicinal plants, and natural aromas. Amber yellow in colour, once poured into the glass the scents of Moscato dominate, followed by notes of white rose, litches and sage, and then candied orange peel and fresh notes of cardamom and spices, with delicate hints of cinnamon and clove. The bitter finish of cinchona bark and gentian is well balanced by the sugary endowment, combined with the wine's excellent acidity, which invites one to take a second sip.
