La Joue Vin de France Blanc Julien Delrieu
The Loire white wine 'La Joue' produced by Julien Delrieu is an intriguing example of Chenin blanc from the Anjou area. Pure Chenin from a single 20-year-old vineyard, it is made without chemicals and with minimal intervention, so that the vine can express itself and reach its best form.
The wine ferments spontaneously in fibreglass and matures 25% in 228-litre barrels, bottled without clarification or filtration and with a minimum percentage of sulphur.
The Vin de France Blanc "La Joue" expresses a luminous straw yellow colour to the eye, with an aromatic profile of white flowers and quince. The palate is fresh and taut, with mineral and citrus aromas. Long and persistent, it finishes with a nice savoury trail on the finish.
