The Vin de France "La Demarrante" by Mickaël Bourg is an extraordinary wine that, despite being classified as Vin de France, possesses all the olfactory and gustatory characteristics of the great Cornas wines. This wine is made from young vines planted in the prestigious AOC Cornas, then declassified for production reasons, but still maintaining the quality and excellence typical of the designation.
The vines, only 5 years old, produce a wine with a rich and complex aromatic profile. The nose reveals intense aromas of black fruits, smoky notes, white pepper, and delicate floral nuances. On the palate, "La Demarrante" expresses itself with surprising delicacy, displaying fine but well-structured tannins. The great volume of fruit gives the palate a juicy and fresh sensation, making each sip a pleasant and persistent experience.
The production method follows traditional and sustainable practices. The fermentations are spontaneous, using indigenous yeasts to preserve the authenticity of the terroir. The aging process takes place in wood for a period of 14 to 18 months, followed by a brief rest in the bottle before commercialization.
