Description

Vin de Savoie Vieux Foug 2023 Corentin Houillon

'Vieux Foug' Vin de France 2023 is a great expression of Savoy red wine from the Gamay grape of Chautagne produced using biodynamic methods. The grapes grow on poor, dry soil with great sun exposure. Vinification takes place with 60% destemming and 40% whole cluster.

Fermentation is spontaneous using only indigenous yeasts with 21 days of maceration on the skins, after which the wine is partially aged in barrels until bottling, which takes place without salforosa or filtration.

This wine is a beautiful expression of Gamay from this area: deep and intense ruby red in colour, it offers aromas of flowers, hints of pepper and mineral salts on the nose, for a frescp, lively and energetic sip.

REGION: Savoy (France)
