Vino Rosso 2020 Cascina Fontana
Vino Rosso 2020 is a red wine produced using natural methods by Cascina Fontana. Since this wine is not subject to any appellation, by law it is not allowed to show the grape variety on the label, and although TripleA does not agree with this, it is forced to respect this decision.
It is probably (or so it is reported on many websites) made from 100% Nebbiolo, but we cannot be sure. What is certain is that Cascina Fontana's Rosso is an unconventional but very territorial red, produced using natural methods and honouring the farming tradition, the same one that inspired Mario Fontana in his work.
The vinification as well as the ageing takes place in fibreglass tanks. This Vino Rosso 2020 from Cascina Fontana appears to the eye to be an intense ruby red colour with some garnet reflections that could indicate the greater presence of Nebbiolo. The nose is fresh, fruity of cherry and plum and with some floral and spicy nuances, while in the mouth it is austere but balanced, with evident fruit, unobtrusive tannins and a sip that ends in a savoury finish.
