Viré-Clessé Quintaine 2017 Guillemot
Viré-Clessé Quintaine 2017 is a naturally produced white wine from Burgundy made by Guillemot. It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes growing on clay-loam soils on calcareous subsoils cultivated according to biodynamic methods. After soft pressing of the grapes, spontaneous fermentation takes place using only indigenous yeasts, followed by ageing on the fine lees in 50/60 hl cement vats for 5 months. Domaine Guillemot's Viré-Clessé Quintaine is a white wine of great complexity and elegance from the Maconnais, the area of Burgundy that produces the freshest and most vivacious chardonnays. A wine that despite its richness and power manages to be very elegant. Straw-yellow in colour, it expresses a nose of mouth-watering aromas of exotic fruits and mineral notes, for a sip that is savoury and fresh, but long and structured at the same time.
