Visadì Dolcetto 2019 Domenico Clerico

Visadì is the wine from which Domenico Clerico began to build his dream, starting with 3 hectares of Dolcetto, striving for excellence from the most popular grape variety in every household in the Langa. This Piedmontese red wine is made from 60-year-old vines, and it is the old plants that give it greater aromatic complexity and richness of flavour.

A special Dolcetto, therefore, Domenico Clerico's Visadì, which is vinified with aaceration on the skins and delicate extraction, to bring out the aromaticity and drinkability typical of this vine, while ageing is carried out in steel.

To the eye, Clerico's Dolcetto Visadì 2019 expresses an intense ruby red colour, while the nose offers aromas of red fruits such as plum and cherry, pink pepper and balsamic herbs. The sip is medium-bodied, full and balanced, with silky tannins.

The Domenico Clerico winery is located in Monforte d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, and was founded in 1978 when Domenico inherited 3 hectares of vineyards and a small farm from his father. Aware of the great predisposition of the terroir, Domenico began producing wine on his own, subsequently purchasing vineyards in the best cru of the area. As a result of careful and passionate work, Clerico has created one of the most renowned wineries in the Langhe, and his wines are endowed with great quality and faithfully reflect the terroir.
